The long-short of the bills is that this will sanction the government to persecute homosexuals living in Uganda (with death being a penalty). LGBT rights in Uganda does tie into life-style and occupational choices. See a Wikipedia page for more information on the issue.

 

Now, the situation is quite serious and dire for this population that already lives in a society where the ideal of human rights has not been championed. This issue does relate to occupational justice and occupational apartheid because of the governments harsh penalty. I think that we can address this in a number of ways, the first is to advocate at the Human Rights campaign website.
